More Stormlauncher Tips from Mr. Herbert’s Science Class.
Friday, January 11th, 2008 @ 12:47 pm
I retired my 1 yr old Stormlauncher when I got a deal on a few new ones from Wal-Mart. Here I show the mods I always make and the brand new one’s first flights. Hope you enjoy this.
Remember, keep the fingers out of the propellers and mind your transmitter so you don’t bump it when you least expect to.

[..YouTube..] Great vid as usual… It would be neat to try and disable that stupid safety mechanism that makes the engines stall at a certain verticle. I have no clue how you would disable it, but maybe You do? How much can you expect lol. thanks

[..YouTube..] If lipo batteries go too low, they will be ruined forever. That is why the safety cuttoff. Just buy a couple of extra batteries.

[..YouTube..] Great tips! I bought 2 more batteries so that the next time I go out I can record some video if I can get someone to come with me.
I am waiting for some snow, but mother nature is not giving us any.I am having a blast with mine! I am amazed at how much power it has, it can easily do slow hovers/stalls. I try to be careful when I run them on asphalt, since the landings has to be nice and soft.

[..YouTube..] In Expert mode I was able to do a nice quick loop right after take off, that was so much fun. I see that you did one in Novice mode? Hopefully, I will be able to post a video eventually.

[..YouTube..] There is a large plane by air hogs that it is called a Titan. It has mabey a 3 foot wing span and two props on each of the two wings. It might be an old air hogs product that you can find anymore, but it would be an interesting review if you could find one. It also is black, painted black all over

[..YouTube..] Dave, all of your videos are cool, but have you ever thought of buying a rc gas or electric car or truck? i have a lot and they are a blast. and is a mini storm launcher for 20 bucks a good deal?
January 6th, 2008 at 11:13 am
[..YouTube..] Thanks. Yes I have had and still have some cars, but my passion are things that fly. Mini stormlaunchers have no elevator, so are not as maneuverable as the Big SL. See my Mini Stormlauncher videos to see what I did with mine. $20 is a good deal.
January 9th, 2008 at 8:44 am
[..YouTube..] instead of taking the horozontle tale off turne it into a elivator to it will be much more efective i did it to mine
January 9th, 2008 at 8:52 am
[..YouTube..] Really. It has too much elevator from my experience! This is why It stalls so much. Send us a video of what you did and how it flies.
January 9th, 2008 at 10:13 am
[..YouTube..] sure

[..YouTube..] In the middle has a main air jet and elasticity depends on how much has the balloon rises more or less. When you put a balloon again (with a lot of elasticity) jet air is more powerful, which is why I invented a reducer presion. The balloon could fly very well, like nu TMR (thurst measuring rig) attempts to hang a youtube video of this flying machine … (I am from Barcelona, Spain)
January 14th, 2008 at 1:18 am
[..YouTube..] Hello and welcome Barcelona. How do you pronounce your name? I would like to see that video.
January 14th, 2008 at 2:08 am
[..YouTube..] My name in youtube is very rare … Is that when I left I did not register any name put. I get angry and I got this name … jajaja(my real name is simon)
