Flying Robots!

Flying ROBOTS? Airhogs/Spinmaster/Silverlit has done it again. Here, I test the new Robo Copter.
It tips over easily on take offs or landings, but once you figure out how to control that, it is a very smooth and a fun machine to fly. It is easier than the Havocs.
I understand these are also available from Donovan’s Hobby Center in Sioux Falls, SD with free shipping in the USA. (1-800-279-6945) (And no, I am not being compensated by them) They are just good guys.
I like mine, and glad I bought it. (Around $50)

[..YouTube..] Great video as always. I wonder how it compares to the Millenium PTU.

[..YouTube..] I don’t know. I saw your video, and it sure looks the same. The rights to private label these, under different names, seems to be the norm these days. Thanks for the kudos.

[..YouTube..] Thanks. Well, if they put this fin and the longer, bigger tail rotor and boom on a havoc with the special gyro lock for the tail, you sure would have a great havoc. I may make my own body for this one.

[..YouTube..] Its center of gravity is higher FROM THE TABLE UP both sitting on the table. In flight the center of gravity it much lower when compared to the havoc heli, MEASURED FROM THE ROTOR DOWN to the center of gravity. You will find it is much lower than the havoc. Lower center of gravity measured from the rotor down.

[..YouTube..] I know. Helicopters hang from the ROTOR BLADES and all weight is supposed to be centered right under the main rotor shaft. This Helicopter is 3 inches higher than the Havoc on its LEGs, so it’s sitting way up there and can tip over very easy ON THE GROUND, not in the air. It flies fine in the air.It needs more tail weight in my opinion, as it barely stands by itself without falling over.Even the directions address the falling over problem.

[..YouTube..] your right! they are top heavy when launching. i didnt mean to offened or anyhting. i just was speculating the reason they made this helicopter. WHY the Robot SHAPE? thats all…i still think it was becouse that shape flies better…sorry if you feel like i was not being respectuful. or if i offended you in any way.

[..YouTube..] Have you noticed how oddly similar the Airhogs Robo Copter is to the HobbyZone Millenium PTU?
December 23rd, 2007 at 2:16 pm
[..YouTube..] Ha ha… Wait till you see my next video. Did you know the PTU has a 2.4ghz radio and the Airhogs (at around $35 versus $50), is Infrared? Stay tuned.

[..YouTube..] I like your vid Davis. I bought a robo copter from the BBT store. At my fist flight it was a really smouth, but then of course landing it got kind of hard. The 2 feet of the guy broke of and the right hand also broke. I fixed it with super glue. But I might get another one. When did you get your Robo Copter? Where? Was it $30.00?RegardsDavid G.
January 6th, 2008 at 11:20 am
[..YouTube..] Thank you sir. I got my Robocopter at Walmart about 2 months ago on sale for $35.Did you see my RObocopter Extreme makeover movie? It is above this message as a video response.
January 6th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
[..YouTube..] Yes Davis, I saw your Robocopter Extreme makeover movie. It was very helpful of you. Thank you. Have you broke any parts on the robocopter yet? Or is it still like it came out of the box? Do you like it? You have 2 havoc heli’s a red and blue one, 1 honeybee that is blue and my favorite the robocopter that is white if i’m correct. From which Walmart store did you get the robocopter from? In Santa Maria? What are you going to buy next?RegardsDavid G.
January 6th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
[..YouTube..] Santa Maria? I live in Iowa, USA and got it in Walmart in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Robocopter flys way smoother than the havocs, and you will see a big difference, if you get one. Ive not broken anything on my havocs because I always shut it off before I hit anything.
January 8th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
[..YouTube..] Yes Santa Maria is where I live. It’s in California. I’ve never been in Lowa. have you bought more then 1 Robocopter? Or do you just have 1 right now? I love Air Hogs their cool. For how long have you been flying these toys for? Do you think that Robocopters and Havocs are easy to break, because of what they are made out of?
January 8th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
[..YouTube..] Only 1 Robocopter. It should last a long time.I have been flying everything I could find since I was 12 and still now at 60. Great fun, because that keeps you young.
January 8th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
[..YouTube..] How many vids have you done in total with all rc toys? You no back in Santa Maria at a Walmart store they sell the robocopters for $49.99 which i think is a ripe of, for a toy like the robocopter. I wonder why the walmart store that you bought yours at sold it for just $35.00. I wish that my walmart in santa maria could sell that toy for that price. So i have to spend $53.86. Don’t you think thats a rip of for a toy like this?
January 9th, 2008 at 1:15 am
[..YouTube..] $35. That is cheap. Tis is far better than the havocs or reflex. This is a robocopter, not a Millenium. The M sells for more because it has a different radio.
