Crossed Trims were “old school” but were very handy when trimming your RC planes or helicopters without fumbling around trying to “feel” where the trim switches were while flying.
It is especially helpful with the newer electronic trims or while flying with gloves and not looking at your transmitter.
It is a much safer way to trim your plane or helicopter without removing your fingers from the control sticks on the newer fancy cases while trying to find the trims.
You should never have to look at your transmitter, to keep your eyes on the plane at all times.
Maybe some Manufacturers do offer this now.
It is pretty easy to do yourself, if you have a radio that doesn’t offer this feature. So here is how I did it.

      I’m sure it’s not true! If it was, nothing lake that would have been posted! It sounds so weird! I doubt that anyone would ever believe it!
